Average age of vines: 25 years
Wine making: Direct pressing in membrane press to 1.6 bar, followed by a 20 day cold maceration. 12 months in half oak vats of 600 litres.
Tasting Notes: Powerful and complex nose. Fruity and peppery at first smell, then hints of red fruits (blackcurrant and Redcurrant). The taste is a subtle marriage of strength and finesse. A wonderful ageing wine due to its powers and tannins. Best served at temperature of 17º- 18º C.
Combinations: Its strength makes it ideal with grilled meats, game, curry dishes and affined cheeses.
